INDIANAPOLIS, IN - DATE – USA Track & Field today announced the 44 high school Para athletes named to its 2025 Para High School All-American team. Headlined by its four athletes of the year, 25 men and 19 women earned spots on the prestigious list that recognizes the best young Para athletes in the country.

Athletes with Paralympic-eligible impairments qualify for the USATF Para High School All -American team, and the list was selected based on results from the 2025 season. The selection criteria looked at the top athlete performances in each event in 2025 as compared against the “A” standard for the USATF Para Tier & Talent Protection Program. This is the 15th group of athletes to have been awarded the honor.

For the third straight year, world champion and Paralympic silver medalist Arelle Middleton (Rancho Cucamonga, California) was named the Female Field Athlete of the Year. Coming off of her Paralympic debut in Paris in which she won shot put silver, Middleton earned the first World Championships title of her career in her final year as a high school student. Her shot put F44 gold medal at the Para Athletics World Championships in New Delhi, India, came just weeks before she committed to throw and play wheelchair basketball at the University of Alabama next year.

A new face on the international track and field scene, Violet Hall (Bloomington, Indiana) earns her first Female Track Athlete of the Year honors after qualifying for her first World Championships team in 2025. Hall’s times in both the women’s 200m and 100m T46 hit Tier program standards.he finished fifth in the 200m and eighth in the 100m in New Delhi. A senior at Bloomington High School, Hall is also on the school’s varsity basketball team.

Ryan Davis (Waksom, Texas) garners Male Track Athlete of the Year honors. Davis, a wheelchair racer out of Connections Academy in Texas, earned the title with a standout performance in the men’s 5000m T54, posting a season-best time of 11:47.42 in May. A versatile short and mid-distance athlete, Davis also hit high school All-American marks with his 100m, 400m, 800m and 1500m times.

Rounding out the high school athletes of the year is Male Field Athlete of the Year Max Allabaugh (Geneva, Illinois). Competing at USATF Para National Championships in August, Allabaugh posted a best mark of 1.88 meters in the men’s high jump T46 en route to his first USATF Para High School Athlete of the Year honors. A member of the USATF Para Emerging Team, Allabaugh is a multi-sport athlete, competing in football as well as track and field at Geneva Community High School.

“As we look ahead to Los Angeles in 2028 and beyond, these are the athletes who are going to be leading Team USA,” Sherrice Fox, USATF’s Director, Paralympics Track & Field, said. “Some have already competed at the elite level internationally, and we are excited to watch them continue to grow and develop.”
